My daughter rescued and brought home a sweet and beautiful 8 yr old 16.5 hand mare who was going to be euthenized because her owner "just didn't want her". She has been checked out by the vet and is healthy but lame. She would make a great pasture buddy - she is well behaved and very laid back. Any one who might be able to help or know of someone who might be able to help please contact us. Thanks

Ahw, you and your daughter are such sweet and compassionate people for saving that horse from harm but looks like you'll have the same problem as the previous owner but I think you'll not resort to euthanasia. I think you can find local horse trainers online, try searching them on Google by typing:
"(insert your state or hometown here) horse trainers"
or better just check out your local veterinarian, I believe he/she has a connection to animal and other trainers. Good luck with that lazy one.
